I see the light!

I saw the LIGHT, not the light you may be thinking, this is NOT a good light! Yesterday morning I woke up late. I was trying to get ready in the bathroom, when the LIGHT came. It is BLINDING and blocks a lot of my vision. Everywhere I look that is ALL I can see. Then I know what is next…{gasp} A MIGRAIN HEADACHE. Followed by hours upon hours of throwing UP and throwing DOWN. The WORST nausea possible, sweats, and SENSITIVITY to all light, sounds and smells. When I get them they hit HARD. I am not able to sit still, I move around and change positions, a LOT! I have to find a DARK room near a toilet, I sometimes take a shower or lay in a COOL bath, I always try to sleep it off. Yesterday, I went up to my Moms, and LUCKILY April was there and took care of my kids while I was SUFFERING through this fun one! The headaches and nausea LAST me sometimes for DAYS. In fact, I still have a LINGERING headache with a BIT of nausea, a severe SESITIVITY to light (so if you see me at the store with my glasses on inside, now you know why! I waited TOO long to take my medication, so it got REALLY bad. I am even having a HARD time looking at the computer screen now, and last night while posting I had to look at the keyboard, instead of the screen. Do you see the LIGHT? Do you get HEADACHES (migrain or cluster)? How do you DEAL with them?

I don't get them, thank goodness. My mom had a severe migraine just about EVERY day when I was growing up. It seriously was a mess. She was always medicated and locked in her room. Her's got so bad she had mini strokes with them. She started working for a chiropractor about 2 years ago and they have been able to help her. She only gets them once in a blue moon.

Yup me too. so not fun, you should call Dr Seale and ask for the HA meds I take. They are great because you only take them when you need too. I took them while pregnant so I know they are ok for you. Call Darla. Glad I was there, sorry it wasn't more quiet.

I don't get migraines but I get gnarly tension headaches. So I feel your pain. I have a regimen: drink lots of water, lay down in the darkest room around, and try to sleep it off. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. When it doesn't work I'll listen to a book on tape to take my mind off it. Good luck!

I have to give myself shots in the butt, sometimes my friends are lucky enough to get to do them for me... hasn't had to come to that for a while. Not fun though huh? It gets to the point where nothing makes sense.
