S.O.L.

I have not only dug myself into a deep hole, I have seriously burried myself this time! Tomorrow, yes, tomorrow is my husbands birthday! Normally I am totally on top of this, I plan for weeks and sometimes even months for this occasion, coming up with something totally unexpected, something crazy and fun! Here are a couple of examples: I took him to New York one year, before we had children. It was so fun, I bought the tickets, booked a hotel, and planned out the whole thing with him not knowing anything! It was a wonderful trip, we have some of our best memories from this birthday! Another great, well probably the Greatest, well who am I kidding, the GREATEST birthday present yet, I bought him a day of flying. He got to go up in a private plane and learn to fly. He flew for almost an hour on his own, it is his dream to be a fighter pilot. He has everything going for him in that area, except for a willing wife. So, of course this was a hit!
So, here is the problem... How can I top last year??? How can I come up with something more exciting, more unanticipated, more unexpected than that? And in one day? I have been putting it off for weeks just figuring I'd think of something, but obviously I HAVE NOTHING! Its tomorrow and I have a couple of shirts and a pair of shoes, but thats it! I was going to take him to Costa Rica, but I haven't gotten all of the arrangments put together to at least give him the airline tickets or whatever. I thought about changing our plans to Cancun and maybe go deep sea fishing (which is also a huge dream of his), but I haven't lined anything up, so I am sunk! I am S.O.L.!!! If you have any great ideas or you want to tend for my children for a week so we can take a fabulous trips, well, you just let me know! Ha ha! Thanks for letting me vent! Here goes nothing...

Um I am all for the Sky Diving Idea I have always wanted to do that... And seriously if I got Nate gifts that good every year he would be one happy guy... Not that he isn't but really my gifts dont compare in the slightest... Well Goodluck with that and have a fun party... :)

Those really are two great gifts! Maybe this year you could keep it small like, getting his closest friends and family to write him a letter and put it all in a book. Or just have a day of all his favorites, like food, activity, lingerie, ect...

Holy Smokes! Where do you get all this money to go crazy like that? I gotta tell ya, I've got zero ideas to even come close to matching that...not that it matters since it's too late anyway.
Sorry I couldn't make it to the bash. I hope it was a good time! Great blog by the way, maybe I'll make you teach me how to be better!
