Paisli getting ready to go home!

First time in her carseat!

I had my Dr. appt on tues Feb 25th. Although I'd been in preterm labor for 10wks I knew something was different. I packed stuff, but didn't want to jinx myself so I left it home. Brody and I went and Dr. Seale checked me and said I was dilated to a four and in labor!!! Yeah! We were beyond ready for this little gal to come. I had to go straight to L&D to get prepped for my c/s. Brody gave our families a call and they all rushed up to the waiting room. I got my epidural and then they strapped me down to the OR table and about 15min later Paisli May was born. She was taken into the other room where they weighed her and cleaned her up a bit. Brody got to go with her. She weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 20in long. She was perfect. Brody told me later that she had stopped breathing and they had to give her oxygen but she recovered so she could come to me in recovery. It was love at first sight. Paisli had a few more scares in the hospitol due to breathing, I guess she was just trying to figure it all out. I loved dressing her up each day and night with a matching bow or headband and all the nurses loved to see what she wore each day. Paisli is an awesome nurser which is new to me! I had a hard time in recovery. I could not get a handle on the pain and for the first time had to take some strong meds to get it under control. We left the hospital friday afternoon, because I wanted my bed. It was scary to bring her home because of her breathing problems, but she has been great since we got home. We stayed up in my room for the first week and I am now venturing down to the main floor of our house. My boys love her so much, they cannot get enough. Its been hard because they have been sick, and could not even go into my room to hold her. Brody just repeats over and over how perfect she is and how beautiful she is! And of course its true! Thanks to all those who have helped us through the passed three months we really appreciate it!

She is adorable and you look great too! Congratulations! It is so hard to keep those little sick boys away from the baby when they have waited so long and are so excited, not to mention you don't want to create any more feelings of sibling rivalry! We just had our little Ryan on the 14th of Jan. and he had a few breathing issues too. My husband and Jackson both had colds and flu and we had to wear the Dr. masks for a week or so, its tough. Hope your little guy recovers soon! and congratulations again on miss Pasli!
